With A Side Of Thriftiness

The Life of a HouseWife… with a side of Thriftiness!

Happy Easter!!

He IS Risen!! Christ has conquered the grave!

This will be my only post today. Remember, there will be NO coupons in the newspapers today as it is a Holiday!  I hope that you have a Very Blessed Easter Sunday!

I would like to end this post with one of my favorite songs:

In Christ Alone

In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm

What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand

In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless Babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save

‘Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again

And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lot it’s grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ

No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From a life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny

No power of hell, no scheme of man
Could ever pluck me from His hand
‘Til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand

I will stand, I will stand
All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground, all other ground
Is sinking sand, is sinking sand
So I stand

Today’s PINspiration!

Happy Easter Eve!!  With all the commercialism, sometimes it is not too hard to forget the true meaning of Easter.  Christ died for our sins and He was resurrected, He Conquered the grave!  I thought that  I would include several PINS to help us celebrate and keep the meaning of Easter in our festivities this weekend.  He IS Risen!!

I love the Holidays!  There’s always something to look forward to when we celebrate!  I think I might do exactly what this PIN shows and create an Easter Egg Hunt just for my Hubs 🙂

Today’s PINspiration

In a few days, my Grandma and I will be making some Easter cookies!  We love to bake for the holidays.   Usually, for Easter, I make specialty cupcakes.  But, this year I’ll be stepping away from the norm to venture in baking and decorating Easter Cookies!  A few weekends ago, when Jo-Ann Fabrics offered a 20% off coupon, I bought an egg-shaped cookie cutter.   I found several PINS of cookies that are made from the same cutter!  Look at how cute they all are:
