My CVS Trip

Yesterday, I made my weekly trip to CVS!  They had many BOGO deals as well as ECB incentives.  I wanted to make sure that I got there to get my FREE $2 in ECB’s!  Did you get your $2 off $10 purchase yet?  If not, today is your last day!  I do want to forewarn you that when my coupon printed from the red kiosk, it stated  $2 off your $10 Easter purchase.  I recommend to buy your Easter items first and then use the $2 in ECBs on your remaining purchases.  Here’s how I shopped:

Transaction #1

  1. TWO bags of M&M Easter 12.6 oz =  2/$6 – $1 Manf. Q = $5 + $2 ECBs earned
  2. (1) Hershey Easter Rolo 11oz, (2) Hershey Easter Reese PB Egg 8oz, (1) Hershey’s Easter Reese Piece 10oz =4/$10 – $2 Manf. Q) = $8 + $2 ECBs earned
  3. (2) Snickers Easter Egg 1.1 oz = 2/$1 – $0.25 CVS Q = $0.75
  4. (2) Starburst Jelly Beans 14oz  = 2/$5 – $1 Manf Q = $4
  5. (2) American Greetings Cards = $0.99 ea = $1.98
  6. Plush Easter Bunny (American Greetings) = $4.99 – $2 w/purchase of TWO American Greetings Cards = $2.99
  7. Gilette Venuts Razor = $8.29 – $2 Manf Q = $6.29 + $5 ECBs earned
  8. (4) Advil PM 4ct = $0.99 (AWESOME!  $0.99 ea and there’s Qs for $1.00!) $3.96 – $3.96 Manf Q = FREE
  9. (1) Easter Egg Sucker = $0.99

Total: $30.00 – $2 ECB on Easter Purchase = $28.00 – $2.50 ECB from Winter Purchases = $25.50 – $10 ECB from CVS survey = $15.50 + $0.69 tax = $16.19

OOP: $16.19 with a savings (including sale$, coupons & ECBs) of $35.97 and earning $9 in ECBs.  Total Savings= 73.5% 

Transaction #2

  1. Dairyman 2% Milk 1 Gallon = $2.49
  2. Allegra Allergy 5ct = $6.99 – $6.99 Manf Q = FREE
  3. FOUR Chex Mix 8.75oz = 2/$3 = $6 – (2) $0.40 Manf Q = $5.20
  4. M&M plain 1.69oz = $0.79
  5. Scunci Hair Accessories B2G1 = 3 packs of Rubberbands for $3.74

Total:  $12.22 – $9 in ECBs = $3.22 + $0.68 tax = $3.90

OOP: $3.90 with a savings (including sale$, coupons & ECBs) of $26.52!  Total Savings = 87.2%

Entire Shopping Trip:  OOP $20.09 with a $aving$ of $62.49! A 75.7% $aving$ 🙂
